Heavy Vehicle Driver

-Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment;
- Apply EnerMech Group and where appropriate Client’s Health, Safety and Environment Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that all EnerMech Group quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times;
- Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures;
-Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order;
- Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions, and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned;
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes;
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles;
- Secure load for transport, ratchet straps or covers;
- Obtain signatures for delivered goods;
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods;
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, radiator fluid and ensure windows are cleaned and visibility is maintained at all times;
- Follow special cargo-related procedures;
- Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary;
- Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc.

• Class A CDL with Hazmat;
• Driving licence;
• Rough Terrain Forklift and Telescopic handler experience; -Vacuum truck operator experience;
• Manual and powered pallet jack experience;
• Defensive driving training;
• Man lifting operator;
• Basic diesel mechanic skills; -Fluent oral and written English.
