We are looking at hiring an IT support person as well as a VSAT engineer. Please see draft Job descriptions attached an below.

You will initially be based in Luanda but with travel within Angola and foreign travel as required. You have confirmed you fitness and willingness to travel. Your roll will include, without being limited to:

Engineering and technical support
Assist in network design, purchase, install, development & support
Assist with logistics
Effectively apply company methodology and project standards
Assist with day to day operational aspects of a project and scope
Help with managing project budgets
Network documentation
Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
Various site visits as required
Tesseract input
Comply with company and customers health and safety policies
Technical support & trouble shooting for customers and pingnet field engineers
Present various reports
Sales, marketing and costumer support
Available for 24/7 callout duties on a rota basis if required

You have experience in VSAT installations and are knowledgeable on general network equipment like cisco routers
Angola and foreign travel is required. You have confirmed your fitness and willingness to travel. Your roll will include, without being limited.

IT Support

Initial Set Up
We require support resources to carry out tasks relating to the following requirement; tasks may overlap with the installation of the network. Comms kit and server kit will be stored in the same rack.
This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change
Installation of racks into comms room
Rack server
Connect server to network
Connet power
Ensure server is reachable by customer remotely
Ensure desk are equipped for users:
Docking stations
Ensure users are connected to network and can access the corporate internal network
Ensure printers are accessible
Ensure phones are connected
General troubleshooting/fault finding
Working closely with group It at all stages.

Roles and responsabilities

Below is an example of the types of tasks that Hermes may be asked to undertake
Set up of desks for new stations – including the unpacking, desk set up, network, power patching and removal of packaging.
Up grade of computer components
Hardware replacements
Printer management
Upgrade of operation systems and applications (this will be determined on case by case basis)
Recovery of user´s data caused by hardware or software failures
Relocation of PCs and peripherals
Troubleshooting of hardware and software

To be competent in the following technologies:
Microsoft windows desktop operation systems
Microsoft office
System centre configuration manager (SCCM)
Service manager
Forefront end point protection (FEP)
Microsoft bitlocker encryption
Ms lync
Cisco telephony
Dell hardware

Service delivey requirements/Responsible for the following.

Providing the relevant skill set required to successfully fulfil the scope requirements outlined above
Interfacing with the group It service delivery team leads
Incident and request fulfillment using gropIt services toolset and agreed processes
Fluent English both verbal and written should be used at all times
Ability to meet agreed coverage and SLA´s
