To ensure the Plant and Pipeline are operated with optimum efficiency, availability, and safety in accordance with the requirements of the Power Purchase Agreement, Good Utility Practice and all applicable legal regulations. To develop, establish and ensure effective and efficient implementation of policies and standards for the operation and maintenance of the Power Plant and Pipeline.

Leading and developing high performing operations, maintenance and technical teams in order tooperate and manage the Company’s assets.
•Delivering word class standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
•Delivering world class standards of operational and maintenance performance.
•Identifying, developing and implementing effective operating and maintenance methods andtechniques to ensure that the plant runs safely with optimum efficiency and availability.
•Developing and implementing plans and procedures to support the efficient and safe operation andmaintenance of the Power Station and Natural Gas Transportation Pipeline.
•Assist in managing the company’s external Operations and Maintenance service provider for theprocessing plant.
•Leading plant personnel and ensuring that the plant is fully resourced with adequately trained andskilled individuals.
•Work closely with the HR Manager on all people related matters, with a specific focus on employeeengagement and championing technical, safety and soft skills training.
•Ensuring that operating and maintenance costs are managed in line with the O&M Agreement andthe approved Annual Operating Plan.
Reviewing and approving all purchase requisitions relating to the plant in line with budget and levelsof authority.
•Ensuring that the capital improvement projects are identified and implemented effectively.
•Ensuring that effective monitoring of the company assets and reporting procedures and systems aremaintained and utilized.
•Co-ordinating and liaising with head-office support groups (e.g. E&O, HR, Legal) as required ensuringrelevant individuals are fully briefed on the company matters.
•Managing the relationship with the owner, power off taker and fuel supplier as necessary.
•Leading, developing, and participating in Crisis Management Team and emergency response plans.
•Ensuring that incident reports with full investigation details and remedial actions are shared with themanagement team in a timely manner.
•Develops and implements HSE managements systems, processes, and procedures that improvebusiness operations in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

Aptidões necessárias

•Minimum 10 years of experience in the operations or maintenance of a large power plant.
•At least 5 years of which have been in a senior operation role;
•Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 3 years of experience as plant manager ordeputy manager.
•Experienced people manager able to demonstrate success and a key interest in people development,management, coaching, motivation and communication.
•Experienced in re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing andimplementing new strategies and procedures.
