Under the general supervision of the Residential Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent directly performs maintenance and repair work at the journeyman level, ensuring all work is done in compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental Management regulations. The incumbent replaces light bulbs, electrical fuses, light switches, repairs simple electrical wiring, maintains A/C units, cleans plugged drains, replacing faucet washers, adjusting lavatory closures and commode mechanisms. Paints walls, furniture and equipment using ready mixed paint. Mixes concrete, patches walls, repairs ceramic tiles, measures and cuts openings and lays bricks and blocks.
Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of electricity, construction, and maintenance procedures, building materials; must understand and abide by local laws and safety procedures in work related areas.
