Reports to: Business Development Manager

To ensure that all product lines proactively develops and implements Cimel's Training & Competency Program.  This role will serve as the focal point that directs, coordinates, and approves strategies linked with employee development to enable continual improvement of the workforce.

  • Responsible for the development/implementation of competency standards and training plans for all product lines.
  • Define a career path for all personnel linked with the standard positions, HR grade system and competency standards and time.
  • Develop strategies that continually improve personnel competency within the product lines.
  • Focal point for the marketing of Cimel's Training & Competency Program and Employee Development System within the product lines.
  • Assist with the development of academic and on-the-job training materials to ensure compatibility with the Training & Competency Program.
  • Oversee/monitor all training activities.
  • Coordinate implementation, follow-up, and audit schedules.
  • Identify areas requiring additional improvement and work with Managers to develop and implement improvement plans.
  • Liaison with clients, third parties, and external clients with the provision of presentations to increase awareness of the Training & Competency Program.
  • Interface between product line and management for training, competency and recruitment.
  • Provide quarterly and other reports regarding competency and training.
  • Coordination with Business Development team for Customer and Industry Orientation, Courses and Training.
  • Define within Angola the training requirements and execute in an efficient way.
  • Complete any other duties and responsibilities as may be required within the physical constraints of this position as determined by the supervisor.

Aptidões necessárias
  • This is a senior role with a need for 10-15 years industry experience.
  • Proficient in technical writing, presentations, development of training materials and manuals.
  • Advanced knowledge with the following software tools: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in directing activities of remote staff.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Good inter-personal skills that result in the ability to influence company personnel, at all levels.
  • Excellent all-round technical knowledge of all Oil & Gas activities.
  • Subject matter expert in 3 or more Oil & Gas technical disciplines.
  • Extensive knowledge of all Cimel equipment, products, and services as well as those of competitors.
  • Minimum of Total 20+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Previous proved experienced in Training and competency.
  • 10 years+ Field Experience essential.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Technical Knowledge of but not limited to:

Tubular Running Services, Drilling Rental Tools,  Fishing Services, Thru-Tubing Services, Cementing Products, Liner Systems, Managed Pressure Drilling.
