  • The purpose of this role is to successfully deliver projects, end-to-end, within approved budget, timelines and to meet agreed levels of quality.
  • To ensure alignment of projects to the business and IT strategies and objectives.
  • To achieve the desired outcomes through project management best practice and to manage relationships (internal and external) with business and solution providers.
  • Ensure project deliverables are aligned to the business requirements as defined with the approved business case.
  • Identify and document risks and appropriate mitigation strategies and oversee the execution thereof.
  • Identify and document project issues and execute approved corrective actions.
  • Managing relationships with the project stakeholders and customers.
  • Facilitate the process of Quality Assurance in each phase and stage of the project.
  • Ensure provision is made for the development of technical support documentation prior to project handover.
  • Ensure operational training for new solutions are completed.
  • Act as a reference point for project queries and information and as an advocate for best practices in project management;
  • Ensure internal customer satisfaction: Project satisfaction index.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Subjective business partner satisfaction rating from the business partners and other stakeholders to whom services are provided.
  • Resource Utilisation: Maximise resource utilisation to PMO requirements (no less than 80% billable).
  • Budget: Project delivery according to agreed budget variance.

Ensure delivery:
- On time delivery, Defect free delivery
- % Requirements traceability
- # Escalations related to the project
- On time reporting

Ensure compliance:
- % of compliance with PMO governance
- % PM process compliance

Ensure Quality:
- # of defects before going live
- # of non-compliance incidents w.r.t. project documentation repository

Ensure effective learning and knowledge management:
- # Training days attended
- # Certifications completed
- # Service improvement initiatives identified

  • Angolan or resident.
  • University degree in Management, IT or Engineering;
  • Recognised project management qualification (Prince2 or PMI) is an advantage

  • Professional experience from 1 to 3 years in an IT environment or similar functions is an advantage.
  • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment;
  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct workshops comfortably to large groups;
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills;
