Functional Expert

Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to line management on a broad range of people and culture policies, programs and practices.

 Evaluate the effectiveness of people programs, policies and procedures and make recommendations to WV Angola leadership.

 Working with a 3rd party, provide expertise, coaching and development around the recruitment and selection of staff and work with the hiring manager as required with a goal of ensuring consistency and fairness in the recruiting and selection process.

 Partner with client leadership to develop and implement an orientation and on-boarding plan for new managers and/or key operating staff and stay actively involved with the new hire until the completion of the probationary period review.

 Guide client leadership team through the annual compensation cycle ensuring
understanding of and adherence to WV protocols. Partner with project teams to
resolve compensation, benefits, HRIS and job evaluation issues.

 Analyze trends using statistical and qualitative data to recommend initiatives to
maximize employee engagement, productivity and retention.

 Administer all staffing requirements for the projects and respond timely to inquiries around compensation, benefits, employee relations.

 Maintain knowledge of employment law and government regulations affecting People and Culture.

 Advise client leadership on potential legal compliance and liability issues and ensure WVA is complying with employee related legislative and regulatory requirements.

 Develop, maintain, update and distribute People & Culture policies and procedures and provide guidance in interpreting and monitoring compliance with policies.

 Manage end-to-end recruitment process performance with 3rd party providers.

 Provide support and advice to project management team on effective human resource employee needs.

  1. Total Rewards Processes

 Conduct job evaluation processes for new and changed roles using an appropriate

 Communicate clear and timely results of job evaluations

 Conduct structured periodic Job Analysis for all positions

 Provide support and guidance in the formulation of job descriptions

 Ensure that all job descriptions have been graded and that every employee understands

 Work in collaboration with the P&C and Payroll Admin officer on all payroll related matters

  1. Manpower Planning and Transition

 Coordinate and engage in the manpower and transition forecasts and planning to

 Facilitate staff transition as a result of retirement, redundancy or termination of contract.

  1. HR Administration

 Manage third party contracts for HR related business services

 Conduct staff file audits to ensure that all employment contracts are in place.

 Design and manage a staff orientation programme

 Negotiate and process employment contracts

 Record all IODs and submit report periodically

 Process IODs by submitting authorised relevant invoices for payment as per work

 Send relevant copies to insurers and to patient’s Doctor and retail file copies

HR Systems and Technology

 Track the usage on the HR OurPeople system and reporting on same

 Update HR system data and capacitate staff on usage of same

 Ensure that OurPeople system is updated at all times

 Produce OurPeople monthly update report

 Leveraging social media to build employer brand and position World Vision as an
