Descrição da função

Objectives / Scope: Oversee and manage the sub-contractors specifically assigned services and equipment to the project. Maintain files and records and provide backup to support the Construction Manager. Establish and maintain a robust subcontractor interface.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and work closely with all sub-contractors and project personnel to co-ordinate delivery/ campaign schedules, provide call off information, schedule interface meetings. 
  • Assist with the selection of vendors/ sub-contractors using Company Operating Procedures. 
  • Oversee sub-contractors Interface.
  • Generated reports for control of sub-contractors.
  • Assist with the evaluation of quotations from vendors, and recommend cost saving opportunities.
  • Communicate and work closely with all sub-contractor interface stakeholders and personnel to co-ordinate delivery of Scope of Services against planned maintenance schedules, unplanned shutdown, and construction schedules.
  • Assist with the provision of accurate and timely cost information where required.
  • Communicate with sub-contractors to issue tenders, obtain cost and availability information for estimating, expedite execution of scope of work, and maintain schedules.
  • Update and maintain the project Sub-contracts plan/ schedule.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings with leads for disciplines.
  • Prepare monthly report and achievements to Construction & Commissioning Manager.
  • To keep the Construction & Commissioning Manager and responsible project members aware of problems external and internal with regards to sub-contractors and agreements.
  • Take personal responsibility for HSE by focusing on own behaviour.
  • To ensure that procedures and policies are followed.
  • Personally abide by ethical practice in all dealings with company vendors.
  • Ensure required personal PEM knowledge is achieved and participate in PEM introduction/training as required.

Qualifications:

  • Good basic education HNC/HND
  • Numerate and literate

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

  • Communications skills
  • Understanding of Internet technology 
  • Ability to offer functional process improvement tools and concepts
  • Good co-ordinating skills

Experience:

  • Experience with a main contractor in projects within the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Negotiation skills at all levels
  • Controlling and operating a computerised systems
  • Interfacing with Engineering, Accounts, QA/QC, Document Control, Construction and client representatives

Personal Skills:

  • Good team member; capacity to gain the confidence and co-operation of colleagues and client.
  • Willingness to understand their operating problems and contribute to constructive solutions
  • Willingness to contribute to procurement improvement processes
